Post-COVID-19, Vietnam's economy is in recovery, accompanied by numerous policy changes. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which comprise over 90% of the country's businesses, are gradually resuming their business and investment activities. To expand production, improve competitiveness, and integrate into the global supply chain, these SMEs require access to formal financial services. However, current bank policies inadequately address their financial needs. To address this issue, FiinGroup in collaboration with International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group and S&P Global Market Intelligence organized the conference themed "Innovation in Banking and Financial Services for Small and Medium Enterprises in Vietnam" to provide updates and suggest solutions for better credit risk management.

She has great working experience with both public and private sectors in Asia countries, including Vietnam, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Myanmar and India. Joining International Finance Corporation, a member of WBG in 2005, Ms. Huyen Pham has worked extensively on financial infrastructure regulatory and policy. She has strong knowledge on Credit Information, Secured Transactions, Alternative Dispute Resolutions, Insolvency and Bankruptcy, Payments System, Capital Market, Micro-finance, and Program Portfolio Management.

Mr. Jimmy Nguyen

Associate Director, Credit Product Specialist, S&P Global Market Intelligence

Mr Jimmy Nguyen joined S&P Global in September 2021 as an Associate Director – Credit Product Specialist, Credit & Risk Solutions and is currently the Specialist for Southeast Asia. Being from the banking industry himself, he possesses a wealth of knowledge on connecting the dot between our Credit Solutions and Client workflows and requirements. His background in credit quantitative development and consulting in the region enables him to help clients deep dive into the credit risk model inner workings and to make sense of the risk scores output. Mr. Jimmy Nguyen holds a Master in Financial Engineering from National University of Singapore ("NUS") in conjunction with Princeton University, and a degree in Computer Science from NUS.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam is currently the Associate Director of Business Information Services at FiinGroup, where he leads the Risk Modeling and Data Analytics efforts. With a career spanning since 2012, Mr. Nam has held senior positions at FiinGroup, KPMG, and NICE Holdings, driving digital transformation, data analytics applications, and advancing financial and risk management standards across various financial institutions in the market.
