[RECAP] Empowering Research And Teaching With Financial Data Workshop

On October 22, the UEH Smart Library officially kicked off a data-application training series “Empowering Research With Data” using FinPro-X Platform and LSEG Workspace, with the goal of helping students, researchers, and lecturers at University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) strengthen their ability to access, analyze, and apply financial data in academic and research activities. 

In the workshop themed “The Power of Data in Modern Economic and Financial Research and Education”, Mrs. Truong Minh Trang, Senior Executive Director of the Financial Information Division at FiinGroup, participated as a guest speaker and shared insights on how data serves as the foundation of trust, enabling more effective, persuasive, and reliable decision-making. In particular, the advancement of data analytics is gradually reshaping research mindsets - shifting the focus from hypothesis-driven to data-driven approaches. 

In the following session, Ms. Tran Anh Thu, Client Advisory Department, introduced the key features and practical use cases of the FiinPro-X data platform. Under her guidance, participants conducted hands-on data applications based on practical case studies using FiinPro-X. The interactive exercises and in-depth discussions with the expert enabled participants to better understand how to leverage data in modern financial research, education, and analytics.
