Vietnam

Vietnam’s economy enjoyed an expansion by 8.02% in 2022 thanks to a strong rebound in domestic consumption, merchandise exports, and private investments (including FDI disbursements) following the removal of COVID-19 restrictions.

However, some key growth drivers (i.e exports and local consumption) have been moderating since the 4th quarter of 2022 and are expected to continue in 2023 due to weaker global demands, rising inflation, and tighter domestic financial conditions, putting pressures on Vietnam’s growth prospects in the year ahead.
